This summers theme was “Love Your Neighbor,” and as we gathered in Elmhurst Park it was evident that this community is the embodiment of just that!     Meet Calvin and Camden! Calvin is our Volunteer En Meet Calvin and Camden! Calvin is our Volunteer Engagement Manager, and Camden a neighborhood youth. As Calvin worked on completing our summer art exhibit for the annual Big Event, Camden soon joined, lending a helping hand. “Calvin made me happy to help” expressed Camden. “He got his own tape measure, and it became an opportunity to teach him as we went” Calvin shares in response. The friendship and service of Calvin and Camden is just one example of our mission to: Love Our Neighbor!

Join the fun weekly with competitive games, a nail salon, karaoke, dancing, free food, and more! 6:30-8:30 PM. For our old-school Boston Project friends, this is The Spot outdoors.     Can You Help Us Feed Our Kids? This summer, we nee Can You Help Us Feed Our Kids? This summer, we need your help to provide daily lunch for 40 hungry kids at the Elmhurst Park Program (EPP). Lunches have been in high demand. Our food costs are $140 a day. Through this effort, you are also supporting a Black-owned restaurant right around the corner from the park. Financial gifts of all sizes are helpful. Our total need is $2,800. Thank you for considering our EPP Kids!

Neighborhood FAMILY FUN NIGHTS kicked off this week with a great intergenerational group of neighbors having a fun, competitive time even in the HEAT. Join us Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 PM at Elmhurst Park. Next Week (7/16) - Live Latin Music, Dominoes, Spa Night, and Health Resources.
