Provide spiritual direction for a staff team as they minister to youth and residents. Oversee all logistics of a group's trip to Boston, including housing, meals, project sites, teaching activities and group dynamics.

Program Director Responsibilities

  • Enable your team of Staff Counselors to fulfill their duties to the best of their abilities by providing spiritual and program leadership.
  • Oversee all logistical details of six short-term missions trips for youth groups. This includes managing a housing site, addressing needs of the visiting youth group, keeping a schedule, maintaining program supplies, and trouble-shooting situations.
  • Be the primary person caring for youth pastors and adult chaperones on the trip.
  • Facilitate daily staff meetings (normally late at night).
  • Be willing to explore your spiritual gifts and God-given talents in a supportive environment.
  • Work closely with members of a diverse staff team for effective team leadership. Work with full-time directors to resolve conflict among staff.
  • Live and work with youth groups 24/7 during their time in Boston.
  • Evaluate and improve the program on a weekly basis.

Qualifications

  • A good balance between relational skills and attention to (many) details.
  • Leadership experience in managing a team.
  • Experience in youth work (preferred but not required).
  • Have the physical ability to work a full day and evening (5 days in a row).
  • At least 22 years of age.
