Group Shoveling

You're Invited!

The Boston Project invites Christian youth groups to join us in our Summer Missions Program. The program is designed mainly for Senior High groups (finishing 9th through 12th grades). We also accept a limited number of Junior High groups (finishing 7th through 9th grades) on a first come, first serve basis. All students must be 12 years old and above.

Currently, the Summer Missions Program can not accommodate individual applicants, family ministry groups, or combined groups of high school and college students. In general, the Sum mer Missions Program is not a good match for groups who have pre-programmed outreach events, such as puppet shows, touring choirs, drama groups, etc. Under special circumstances, we do make exceptions as God leads. Please call our Service-Learning team to learn about other opportunities to get involved.

Why are we a good match for Senior High?

Several aspects of our program and service & outreach are designed for youth ages 14-18. Our Scripture-based curriculum is written with senior high youth in mind and often includes themes such as justice, racism, the use and abuse of power, and servant leadership. Also, many of our service and outreach projects have legal age requirements or require a level of maturity and/or skill to complete.

What about a mixed group of Junior and Senior High?

We do accept groups that are a mix of junior and senior high students under the following conditions:
  • The majority (50% or more) of youth must be 14 or older. This is so we can fulfill our service commitments for projects requiring youth of a certain age.
  • You understand that while we attempt to have all your team members serve together at some point, your youth may be split by age for some or all of the week's service and outreach projects because of age requirements.
If you would like to register a mixed group, please register as a "Senior High" group, and note this under "Additional Comments."

Adult Leaders

Each group must bring a minimum of one adult leader for every 5 youth (more is great!). Adult leaders must be 21 years of age, mature, and committed to ministering to your youth on this trip. Because our staff leads almost every aspect of your trip, you and your adult leaders are free to focus on relationships with your youth.
