Challenge.

There is life-changing potential when teenagers learn through both life experiences and structured study. Our goal is to expand your teenager’s head knowledge and heart’s sensitivity so they can respond to the biblical ideas of justice, love, and mercy. Our daily activities provide a great springboard for constructive reflection on life principles found in the Bible. We serve as a way to learn and we learn so we can faithfully serve.

Scripture Study

The Boston Project develops a creative Scripture-based curriculum that engages students several times a day. Our staff are equipped to lead youth through this Scripture theme, and are passionate about seeing them grow in faith and knowledge. Previous themes have included “Do You Know What’s Good?” (Micah 6:8), “Love God, Love Others” (Matthew 12:30-31), “For Such a Time as This” (Esther), and others.

Staff Mentors

Discipleship happens in the context of relationships. That’s why The Boston Project is committed to providing a high staff to youth ratio (about 1:5), which allows them (and you!) to invest personally in your youth. As we live, learn and serve together, our staff teaches and models what it means to follow Christ. It is discipleship – Jesus style.

Urban Missions

As an urban ministry, we are of course excited to share about God’s heart for the city. Our hope is to broaden youth’s understanding of urban America and global missions, recognizing that over half the world’s people live in cities (and that number is growing). We approach these ideas from a biblical perspective, and believe they are important for the lives of teenagers everywhere.

Urging a Lifestyle of Service

Our deepest hope is that teenagers will return home and choose to serve right where they live. Your ministry in Boston will have a real and long-lasting impact, but the real work begins once you get home. We pray for a generation of young people committed to standing up for justice and demonstrating the love of God through word and action.
