Fair Foods, Inc. is a non-profit organization based in Boston that transports large quantities of surplus groceries from industry to low-income communities, elderly housing units, and churches across eastern Massachusetts. They also salvage high-grade building materials such as paint and hardwood lumber, and build and paint benches and tables to beautify local communities.

Over the past few years, The Boston Project has formed a significant relationship with Fair Foods by hosting weekly distribution sites in the community and volunteering at their main warehouse. Families receive a large assortment of fresh produce, bread, dry goods products, and sweet treats at the dollar-a-bag food distribution sites. Fair Foods hosts a weekly site in Codman Square every Saturday at 670 Washington Street starting at 11:30 AM. For more information, including a site listing, visit Fair Foods website.

Boston Project volunteers provide extra hands at Fair Foods' main warehouse. This includes sorting surplus produce and grocery items for distribution, working on their park bench project, as well as cleaning and general upkeep of the facility.
