In partnership with Global Ministries Christian Church and Bruce Wall Ministries, The Boston Project hosted a new annual event in late September 2005 called Neighborhood Fest. Held outdoors at Global Ministries, between 400-500 neighbors came out for a day filled with food, children’s games, free school supplies, family resources, and a flea market.
We are thankful for Open Air Campaigners who came to interactively share the Gospel message with 75 plus children (of course, many adults listened also!). We are grateful for the many churches that donated school supplies throughout the summer.
God worked in awesome ways through this event including increasing unity in the church and community, new children wanting to attend Sunday School, donations being sent to help families impacted by Hurricane Katrina, and developing a vision for a larger outreach in 2006.
