Neighborhood kids at the homework center.

In the fall of 1999, God stirred our hearts to deepen our relationships with the children and youth in our neighborhood. In response to a few 10 year-olds asking for help with their math homework, we started to invite children and youth into our living room for academic help. What started out as 2 young people quickly became 4, 6, 8, 12!

The Homework Center is a safe, quiet environment where students can come to work on their schoolwork. In addition to help with homework, we provide students with healthy snacks, community building activities, and a creative daily scripture verse lesson.

Homework Center meets four days a week:
• Monday/Wednesday: Middle/High School
• Tuesday/Thursday: Kindergarten-3rd Grade
