Fall 2010 Service Days

Spend a service day with The Boston Project and experience an introduction to our ministry, a scripture-based devotion, and 2-6 hours of service addressing needs in Boston. Park Patrol - Youth Champions for Green Space

This summer 2010 we will hire 20 teenagers to be involved in Park Patrol - a leadership/job development program - focused on improving and creating new green space in our neighborhood. The young people are transforming 106 Norfolk Street into a new community garden and will host activities for children at the Elmhurst Street Playground. Contact Paul to learn more.

Project Angel Wings Clean Up - April & May

Neighbors are invited to join us on our two spring clean up days at the historic Codman Burying Ground along Norfolk Street on Saturday, April 25 (Boston Shines) and Saturday May 16 from 1:00-4:00 PM. Second Church in Dorchester is planning a special event here for Memorial Day, Monday, May 25 from 1:00-4:00 PM to celebrate our veterans and the history in this place.

Winter Weekend Service Retreats

We are now registering adult, college, and high school groups for weekend service retreats. Join us from Friday night through Sunday afternoon for an intense and meaningful urban immersion and service experience. Groups from 10-25 welcome. Cost is approximately $90 per person. We have openings in January-February 2009.

Small Engine Repair Needed

Our summer Service & Outreach is often impacted by the number of working lawnmowers we have. We are in need of a person who has experience with small engine repair to help us for a day or two this spring servicing our mowers. Currently 7 out of 9 lawn mowers are in need of repair.
