Americorps Position Available - October 2011

We are looking for a person skilled and passionate about working with elementary age children to join our Neighborhood Youth Ministries team through a local AmeriCorps partnership. This is initially a one-year commitment from October 2011-2012 (can be extended up to 4 years). Contact if you are interested.

It's a meaningful way to affirm your commitment to sowing to and receiving from God's work in urban areas of our own country. Partnerships involve opportunities to serve, connection to a ministry house and community, prayer, and financial gifts. Contact Paul for a one-on-one visit to discuss a new church partnership today.

Fall 2011 Service Days

Spend a service day with The Boston Project and experience an introduction to our ministry, a scripture-based devotion, and 2-6 hours of service addressing needs in Boston. Open to youth, college, and adult groups. A $10-$20 per person donation is appreciated. Contact Keith for available dates. Currently scheduling Fall 2011.

2011 Summer Missions Program - THANKS!

Thanks to everyone who came to our 2011 Summer Missions Program. We anticipated a smaller summer, but it turned out to be our largest summer ever in our 15 years of hosting volunteer missions teams. Stay tune for details for summer 2012. We encourage you to contact Keith early.

New Children's Community Garden Being Built

This summer, we began to construct a new community garden at 106 Norfolk Street [design] Contact Paul to volunteer at our fall service days to help finish the garden for a spring 2012 planting! Photos to come soon.

Ministry House Repairs - Skilled Help Needed

Updated 8/28. The Boston Project's Ministry House needs some TLC (tender-loving care) this fall. If you are skilled, we need help re-pointing the foundation, installing a water line for a washer hook up, fixing a metal heating vent, and renovating our main bathroom. Contact Paul if you can volunteer some time this fall.
