General Fund Pyramid October 2010

Be ONE of 30

In 2010, we are looking for 30 individual, families, or groups to commit to contributing to the General Fund each month for 12 months.

To commit, go to Donate Online and fill out the "Recurring Donations" section.

What is the General Fund?

Don't let the name fool you - even though it's General, it's also Essential - we can not operate without the financial support of people like you who believe in our ministry. Making up for 21% of our ministry's yearly revenue, the General Fund is made up entirely of individuals, families, and churches that believe in the ministry God has given us and contribute towards it.

The General Fund goes to pay for those things that are not paid for anywhere else. Most of our staff raise support as missionaries, grants pay for specific programs, and program fees make a dent in staff time and service supplies. That leaves a lot of gaps for things like health insurance, utilities, liability, and the like.

The General Fund is instrumental in making possible ministry areas without a lot of revenue streams, such as Neighborhood Youth Ministry (Homework Center, Teen Bible Study, Discipleship) and Community Development outreach initiatives (Neighborhood Meetings, Urban Planning, Green Space).

Top 5 Expenses of the General Fund:

  1. Health Insurance
  2. Supplementing Staff Salaries
  3. Rent & Utilities
  4. Other Insurance (worker's comp, auto, etc.)
  5. Program Costs (not covered by fees & grants)

We invite you to support our ministry in this crucial way. Thank you for your generosity!
