Summer Staff

Do you know what it means to spend yourself? After a summer at The Boston Project, our hope is that you begin to understand this calling and see its promise fulfilled. We want every staff person to experience the joy and pain of loving God and loving others unconditionally. We want you to develop your leadership skills while being a learner first. We want you to understand the realities of our community and choose to engage in making a positive, Christ-centered difference.

If you are willing to spend yourself on behalf of the Kingdom, we invite you to consider serving with The Boston Project this summer. We are hiring a staff leadership team of 10-15 young adults to operate two dynamic programs – Neighborhood Youth and Family Ministries (NYFM) and the Summer Missions Program (SMP).

Jeremiah 29:7

Seek the Peace of the City

Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because if it prospers, you too will prosper.

Summer Missions Program

The Summer Missions Program invites Christian youth groups to join us for a 6-day intensive mission trip experience. Through a curriculum made up of daily devotions, service & outreach projects, debriefing, and thought-provoking Nightlife activities, SMP staff help participants discover God’s heart for justice and mercy. We are committed to helping youth develop their gifts and talents as well as challenge them to be more aware of urban realities and their role of reconciliation in a cross-cultural setting.

Youth & Family Ministries

The Youth & Family Ministries engage children, teens, and adults from our neighborhood in a wide variety of summer programs. Our teen jobs program hires teenagers to address environmental justice issues in our neighborhood and help lead each of our other summer programs. They earn a paycheck, and more importantly develop employment skills for future success. Our free, drop-in children's program provides a safe and fun place for younger kids to play, relate, and learn about God. The often-overlooked middle-schoolers are involved in their own leadership development program. And we help plan fun neighborhood events that brings entire families together for celebration and relationship.
