Elmhurst Park Program

Faith. Fun. Fitness. Fine Arts. Friendships.

Children ages 5 to 11 can join us for six weeks of free, drop-in programming at Elmhurst Park. The Elmhurst Park Program aims to keep neighborhood children engaged by fostering a safe environment where they can grow as a person and develop friendships.

The day begins with a free lunch at 12:30 PM followed by fun activities from 1:00-4:00 PM. Every day includes some combination of sports, arts, Bible Club, and snacks. Special guests are invited throughout the summer such as the ReadBoston Storymobile, the Boston Aquarium, double dutch teams, and live science experiments. Children can come and go with parent/guardian permission or stay the entire time every day that we are in the park (Monday through Thursday).

The Boston Project Ministries has 2-3 adult staff, 3-4 teenage staff and several volunteers on a daily basis supervising the program. Parents and caregivers are welcome to volunteer.  There is no cost, but donations are welcome and helpful. Registration opens in May.
