Here are some ways we hope that our College Spring Break trips stand out.
• We are a year-round community organization committed to Boston - Rather than "setting up shop" for just a short time, The Boston Project staff and ministry lives in the heart of the neighborhood where we serve year-round. We have built relationships characterized by integrity and trust with many neighbors and service organizations in Boston. We have the ability to respond quickly to immediate needs of residents, but also the ability to participate in facilitating long-term community change.
• We value the unique gifts of college students - The Boston Project continues to explore ways for college students from all walks of life to be involved in ministry with us. From our summer staff counselors, to internships, to meeting year-round needs in our Homework Center and administrative work, college-aged students are vital to the outreach and service we do in our neighborhood. We look forward to spending a week with your team engaged in service, learning, and discipleship.
• We plan experiences with you in mind - So much that happens here at The Boston Project starts with relationship. Our College Spring Break trips are no different. We are committed to being in close communication with our college teams to understand your group's journey and prepare you for your experience with us. We hope to plan a trip that allows your team to humbly serve Boston's needs and learn about ministry here, while providing the flexibility that your group needs to best find spiritual connection and challenge.
"The Boston Project gave me a chance to better hear God's calling. It allowed me to see what being a servant for Christ really means as I focused on the tremendously incredible ways that people were serving Christ in the city of Boston." - Ali, Calvin College (MI)
