Summer's Over...
Even after years at The Boston Project, God continues to teach us where our passions and gifts best fit into our ministry. Sarah’s gift of hospitality was shining as she organized and helped to cook several dozen meals for our 25 summer staff (mostly hungry young adults). She welcomed many volunteer chefs into her kitchen. Our staff was blessed by many home-cooked meals reflecting cultures including Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Africa, Connecticut, and more.
Both the boys are doing great! Joseph has developed an authentic pirate face, and he enjoys swashbuckling in the yard with sticks. He is a great motivator and demonstrates his warm and embracing spirit by engaging our summer staff in his dragon-slaying adventures. He is also a natural singer, and belts out his favorites (Old MacDonald, Zaccheaus, etc.). Tim is seven months old, and growing so quickly. He is an expert crawler and this week he pulled himself up into his infant seat. No teeth yet, but he thoroughly enjoys his oatmeal and bananas. Tim has a great smile and loves his older brother, especially when Joseph sings and dances for him. Tim spoke his first word this week, “da da.” Keith is very proud.
This fall, Sarah is taking a graduate class on book publishing to continue working on her children’s book. As a new Pampered Chef consultant, she also has many upcoming party bookings this fall. We know that many of you have been praying for our family, and we are confident that the patience and peace that we feel is only by God’s power.
