February/March Prayer Requests
- A New Discipleship Strategy: Our staff team is in a season of prayer and study trying to understand how to better spiritually disciple others. We believe God is going to unfold a more comprehensive vision that will result in us "making disciples who are making disciples" (a theme from Missions Frontiers magazine, Jan-Feb 2011). Pray with us.
- Building a Rooftop Garden: This spring we plan to build a rooftop garden on our 1,500 sq. foot garage! Please pray for Paul and Ben Cressy (our new Greenspace Coordinator and fiance to Liz Boyd, long-time staff member) as they embark on this exciting project. The fresh vegetables will help us become more self-sustaining, and will be used to offset rising food costs for staff, volunteers, and to share with neighbors. This project is motivated by our desire to care for God's creation and to live more simply.
- Summer Staff & Preparations: We are in the season of recruiting and hiring 15+ individuals to serve alongside us this summer. This is a powerful time of training for young adults. Pray for God to assemble a gifted team. If you are interested, check out our summer staff online. Pray for Glenna as she writes our summer missions curriculum.
- Sabbath Rest: Pray for us as we continue to slow down for healing, rest, and to hear from God. (Sometimes I want to speed back up!) We also have the opportunity to share with several churches this spring. Pray for God to give us a special word for each church we visit.
