December/January Prayer Request
- School Decisions. After a 10 week campaign with Boston Public Schools, the decision has been made to reduce Cady and Grace's school to pre-school through 1st grade (it formerly went up to 5th grade). We are disappointed with the vote, and are emotionally and physically exhausted from the process. Pray for God's renewal during the Christmas and New Year's season, and for decisions for Cady that need to be made this January/February for the school year beginning fall 2011. A Different Year in 2011. We are looking forward to some needed changes this year. Pray for us as we prepare for a special season of reflecting on our purpose and skills in ministry, writing The Boston Project story, rest, and focusing more on the spiritual development of our family. As we have shared before, we believe this season will help prepare us for our next 15 years of ministry!
- Praise God for His Presence in our Neighborhood. 2010 was a significant year spiritually for our neighborhood. We would describe it as a year of watering many sprouting seeds. It's exciting to see God at work in our neighbors lives. We have deepened many relationships - especially with other parents. Our youth Bible Study is well attended particularly by unchurched young men. Several of our neighbors are much more bold in their Christian faith.
- We Thank God for You! We wish we had more time to spend with all of you. We recently enjoyed a Sunday with our friends at Bethany Presbyterian Church. It was so much fun. Many of you have also given very generously in support of our family and the ministry. Thank you immensely. It is our desire in 2011 to visit church partners and friends more regularly. Please send us an email if you would like to get together this winter/spring.
