October Prayer Requests
- A Sabbath Plan: We are praying and seeking counsel to best understand how to move to a reduced work schedule in 2011 for the purpose of writing and reflection. Pray for us and our staff as we figure out a plan together and for the new roles staff may step into to make this Sabbath possible.
- Save the Lee Academy!: The Boston Public Pilot School that Cady and Grace attend was notified last week that it will close the end of this school year by merging with another school. Pray for families, teachers, and the Board as we aggressively fight this decision during the next two weeks.
- Thank God for Growth: This fall we have seen 15-20 new children attend our Homework Center, a dozen+ teenagers regularly coming to our Bible study, and adult neighbors stepping into new leadership roles. We also welcome Dana Chepulis to our neighborhood youth staff as an Americorps intern.
- Provision for our General Fund: One staff said last week, "it's called General, but it's essential." Our General Fund which supports the costs of running our Neighborhood Ministry House including staffing and youth programs is low. The need before the end of the year is $35,000. This number may seem large to some of us, but our God can provide in amazing ways.
