September Prayer Requests
Summer is our fullest season at The Boston Project and this year was no exception. We deeply appreciate your prayers and financial support particularly during the summer when we are less available to connect with you, our friends.
God's Direction: September is a time of rest and reflection for us. This fall will be different for our family and The Boston Project as we make several changes due to a smaller staff team, Paul's health, and the need to pursue more focused direction for TBPM around establishing Neighborhood Ministry Houses. Pray for us as we take time now through December to intentionally prioritize, strategize, and study; this will require a reduced outreach/program schedule.
Paul & Glenna's Health: We had a little scare mid-August when Paul went to the hospital with possible signs of a heart attack. It was not a heart attack, but there is something not quite right with his body (more testing to come). Glenna has on-going stiff, sore joints. They have progressed from being occasionally bothersome to an everyday nuisance. Pray for upcoming doctor's visits for both of us, and for a complete restoration of our health and vitality. Pray that we will do what we need to in the process.
New School: Megan, our oldest daughter just entered 3rd grade, and is attending South Shore Christian Academy this fall. She is excited and naturally, a little nervous. Pray for our adjustment to a new school, new friendships, and a new schedule. Cady and Grace are returning to the Lee Academy, and are ready to reunite with friends.
Increased Compassion: We poured ourselves out a lot this summer into the lives of children, teenagers, and young adults. We are honestly quite tired and are experiencing a low threshold for the present needs which surround us. We believe that through Jesus we will recover, but pray over us Isaiah 40:31; "for those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
With love and gratitude,
Your friends - Paul & Glenna
