A Trip to the Emergency Room

In early August Glenna rushed me to the emergency room. I had pains that started in my back radiating around to my chest, and painful shortness of breath. Before we left the house I gave each of the girls a kiss and said "I love you" not knowing if I would return (a bit dramatic I know, but true to the moment). As we drove to the hospital I kept whispering this prayer, "Lord, preserve my life." Eight hours later, the doctors determined I was not having a heart attack, but I possibly had a transient viral infection that inflamed itself around my heart and lungs. A day later I returned home, and have continued medical testing and recovery through much rest and God's healing. Glenna has been a great caretaker!
