Why Do We Do What We Do?

I often reflect on our motivation for why we do what we do at The Boston Project and in life. Maybe it's because I want to make sure my inner-nudgings are semi-pure or distinguished by a desire to please God, not men (which can be a challenge for me).

Anyways, I came upon this verse in I Thessalonians 1:3 which I believe captures our heart. When I read it in a personalized way, it says, "our work is produced by faith, our labor prompted by love, and our endurance inspired by the hope in our Lord Jesus Christ." Glenna and I have been serving in Dorchester for 13+ years now. Just as the apostle Paul was giving God thanks for the Thessalonians faith; our hope is to be known by neighbors and friends likewise. Continue to pray for us.
