I heard the "revvv" of the engines at 6:22 AM today. Albeit, a little early, but it was music to my ears. Before any of our three daughters were born, Glenna and I joined together with neighbors on an ambitious plan to build a new children's park on our street. Little did we know, that it would take almost ten years to begin construction. The park has gone through several designs phases and the final product will have the feel of a "neighborhood backyard." With swings, a water spray, a climbing structure, and more, the active part of the park is complemented by its more passive elements such as park benches, artwork, and beautiful plantings all around. The official opening will be June 2009. In the meantime, I give thanks to God each morning for the revvv of that bulldozer engine.
