Listening.
This past week was exhausting... yet such a blessing.
We had Nithin's friend Greg here to do some filming all week in order to create some films for TBPM. All week we were getting Greg connected with this person, then that person throughout the day, driving around to film the neighborhood and hanging out at homework center to be with the kids. At night we would go and visit with neighbors then interview them. All this on top of regular work. It was a busy exhausting...
The blessing came with being able to sit down and talk with people, or rather to have them talk to the camera. It was great to listen. In the busyness of life and work and ministry it is such an encouragement to hear how God is moving in the lives of your neighbors, co-workers and community partners. I, personally, was humbled to hear a community partner share how working alongside TBPM has made it "OK" to make his work about his faith. A neighbor shared about the changes she sees in her son since he started to become involved with us! I was floored! You pray for it, you hope for it, but then you hear it... the testimony of God's Work. How humbling and Exciting! I hope I never tire of it.
