Italy!
Just wanted to let everyone know that in exactly two weeks from today, my roommate, Jackie, and I will be leavin' on a jet plane!
We are taking the wonderful, MA state February break to travel first to Cambridge and then to Florence, Italy.
In Cambridge we will be visiting with our friends and mentors from Gordon College (I wrote about the Byun family in my September newsletter)! It will be great to see Charis, Seulgi, Noah and Maliya for a few days. (If anyone has a letter or gift they want us to carry across the pond to them we would love to)
In Florence we are thrilled to be able to stay with Jackie's sister Jamie for a week. She will be working, but our plan is to walk, take lots of pictures and eat... a lot! While Jackie has never been there and basically just wants to see her sister, the time I spent there in 2004 was really faith-forming for me. So even though we have totally different reasons for going, both of us are thrilled to see the streets of Florence, whether they hold much loved sisters or powerful memories.
