Loving Jesus

My friend Scott posed the question the other day: "What do you love about Jesus?"

"This is love, that Christ died...therefore, love one another, as Christ loved us." Jesus. How do you love the standard of love?

Jesus. He is the image of the invisible God, the light of the world, pleasing to God, all things on earth were created for him, he is an example of humility and compassion!

Jesus. He healed, taught, loved from his core, prayed, lived among the poor, listened to the Father, got angry at injustice and religiousness, was friends with untouchables and the unnoticed, gave all people hope, died so others will have life.

Jesus. He is the way, the truth, the life. He called us to follow Him. God echos that when he admonishes us to "be holy as I am holy."

Jesus. I love that He interceeds for me, love that He sent the Holy Spirit to us to give us the ability to "be holy." I love to know I am loved by Him. Unconditionally.

"This is love, that Christ died...therefore, love one another, as Christ loved us." Jesus. How do you love standard of love? By loving others AS He loved us.

That is what I love about Jesus, Scott. I love that His life AND death always brings me back to loving others.
