Blog - Shmog
Blogging is pretty much against my religion.
Seriously. I don’t think that I have ever read anyone’s blog before (sorry friends). I’ve just always equated it with a great place for people to whine publicly(hopefully I will be able to refrain). And most people that know me, know on most levels I really don’t like whining. Thanks Dad.
Cutting to the chase. I am a novice in this world. Have patience with me.
I am Katie Rice. I am 23 years old. I am a Gordon College Alum, as of almost 1 full year. I was home schooled K-12. I love climbing trees and roofs. I love Dorchester.
The Boston Project Ministries is a neighbor before an organization. A neighbor that tries to be neighborly none-the-less. As Jesus has become more and more real in my life over the years I am increasingly convinced that just like he says in the gospels, loving God and loving your neighbor are THE things that God calls us to do. That is why I have decided to live here with BP (Boston Project loves acronyms, there will be a test later). I want to learn to live my life as a neighbor, loving and caring about the people around me as Christ would.
And… the only reason I think you should continue to read my blog in the future is that I want to use this space to share with you my journey to this point and then just kinda chew through some real raw ministry experiences together. I can’t promise that I will be really consistent with this. I can promise that there will be dialog encouraged, that there will be updated pictures on my Facebook, and that there will be some funny stories.
As they might say in blog-world: “To Be Continued…”
